The GTCAHC was founded in the early 70's and many of the original members are still active in the club today.

We are a club with many areas of interest in the dog world.  Our members train and compete in the following areas and many of our dogs hold titles in more than one area:

Conformation

Obedience

Agility

Rally

AKC Lure Coursing Tests & Trial

AKC CAT testing

Straight Line Racing

Oval Track Racing

Scent Tracking

Therapy dogs

We also work with the Afghan Hound Club of America on Rescue issues. 

Where We Are

We serve the Minneapolis/St Paul area and the surrounding communities as well as adjacent states that do not have an Afghan Hound Specialty club.
